Stephanie Huber - Cello

The cellist received her first cello lessons at the age of eight at Vienna's music schools. In 2014, she completed her concert and IGP studies with Othmar Müller at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt with distinction. She received further musical inspiration from Reinhard Latzko, Stefan-Jess-Kropfitsch, Wolfgang Boettcher, Diethard Auner, Josef Luitz, Georg Baich, Philip von Steinaecker, and Christoph Richter.

She also completed string chamber music studies with Prof. Johannes Meissl at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts.

From 2012 to 2014, she was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and is also a member of various chamber music groups and ensembles. Among other events, she participated in the Prades Chamber Music Festival in 2009, the Gustav Mahler Academy in Bolzano in 2013, and the ISA Summer Academy in Austria in 2015.

The cellist has gained chamber music and orchestral experience in major concert halls such as the Vienna Musikverein, Vienna Konzerthaus, Salzburg Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, the Concertgebouw, and the Dresden Semperoper.

In 2015, Stefanie Huber and the Trio Trikolon won prizes at international chamber music competitions in Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and Malta.

She also completed further chamber music studies with the Trio "Wanderer" under Vincent Coq, Jean-Marc Phillips, and Raphael Pidoux at the Concervatoire à Rayonnement in Paris. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Varga Quartet Vienna.
